T - Toaster

For today’s letter, I decided to go with Toaster.

This one feels like a continuation of day 11 with the kettle, both seem equally as important to Newfoundlanders, perhaps more so the kettle, but the toaster is definitely a close second.

So this animation proved to have some challenges in it, as all the letters have up till this point. But thankfully after doing 20 of these I got some of the trickier things no longer phased me. The smoke was something I did for the letter K so I had a solid starting point, but this time I figured out how to make it trail off properly. Look at that growth!

The colour changing effect from the Letter E also proved to be useful, though the timing was harder than I’d realized to nail. After that, it was just a matter of masking everything together, which, after some of the more intricate letters above, wasn’t a problem at all! All in all, feel like I’m getting more confident in my skills, and the ability to actually create the things I see in my head. It’s a good feeling : )
