S - Spin

For today’s letter, I decided to go with “Spin” and just look at it go!

The fun/challenging thing about today’s letter was trying to figure out how to get a non-linear shape to spin properly. The answer is, a lot of fun bend deformers!

Unfortunately, bend deformers wouldn’t have been able to allow for such nice end caps. So those had to be tweaked in after the fact without disrupting anything done previously, it was a bit of challenge, but then again, who doesn’t like a good challenge every now and again?

Plus there’s something about watching the colours just spin round and round that is strangely satisfying, it’s like a hypnotic sort of effect, which could be a theme I have going for a lot of these animations!

But to get back to it, it’s a lot of cylinders, bent wildly, and then throw a twist deformer on it, and presto! You got a nice day 19 GIF.
