G - Glitch

Today’s letter was G, and as seems to be a trend lately, I had a very clear idea about what I wanted this day’s letter to be.

The difference about this one, however, is that up until now all my projects had been done exclusively in Maya, and what was rendered was what I had. This one, however perhaps obviously, needed most of the heavy lifting to be done in post.

As mentioned in day 3 if I’m not learning something, then what’s the point, and I feel that extends to other things outside of Maya as well. Now I wouldn’t say I’m unfamiliar with After Effects, but usually, my work with it hovers around the occasional scene assembly or colour correction, so it’s nice to be able to build something a bit more substantial in that world.

and who knows, maybe After Effects will be cropping up more in later projects, like tomorrow’s for instance [Hint - It Totally Will]
