If the letter G was a tiptoe into more prominent After Effects work, than H is a cannonball into the deep end.
Today’s letter is the letter H, and the idea for it was a hologram, this scene, was almost entirely done in after effects and behind "Flag", it has some of the fewest rendered frames, with the letter H itself being nothing more than a simple Play-Blast ripped from Maya.
When I initially started to plan out H’s design I was a little hesitant to have two technology-themed letters back to back. I know that sounds a little odd, but that’s really where my brain went. I’m always afraid when doing these larger-scale projects, that I’ll either lose track of the main design element and that by the time I reach Z it’ll feel nothing like how A felt.
Or oppositely I’ll feel like they all feel exactly the same. Trying to find that middle ground of uniqueness, while also maintaining an overarching style is probably the hardest part of this whole project for me.
