For today’s letter, I knew I wanted to do extend, that much was pretty much solved right out of the gate, what I did not anticipate was just how challenging I would find setting up, rigging, and texturing this scene to be.
Originally the model popped up from left to right in vertical columns, not diagonal as in the final version, I told myself I liked it, but it was mostly due to the time-consuming nature of rigging, and setting up a lot of colour swapping materials. I knew to change it now would undo all that work done previously
However, after getting a couple of frames into the final render I knew something had to change, at the time I wasn’t sure what, but I told myself that if I wasn’t willing to make something I was 100% proud of, then that could be a slippery slope into corner-cutting later. So I sucked it up, delete everything and started over, this time ensuring the motion was something I liked, and that I would be excited to show to off
