Rocket Man

This month's project was a sort of reimagining of some of my previous projects. I had previously made an animation called "Deep Space Exploration" that used a rocket ship zipping around some planets, it was from my earlier years when I was learning Maya and had just found out about Mental ray, that's how long ago that was. Since then I've wanted to do another rocket ship like scene but felt doing the same flying design wouldn't be as satisfying. Also, my poor computer wouldn't want to do a whole animation's worth of renderings for a Vray project. So I decided to instead update the rocket ship model. It was more of a test of showing myself how far I've come. I gotta say I'm rather pleased with this one, and also for this project I decided to give the ship an interior as well, and you might even recognize the little pilot flying their ship around! Not only am I beyond pleased with how the project came out, but I also feel like I managed to do it in a crazy short amount of time, relatively speaking that is!
