For today’s number, I knew I wanted to do something with lights. N was a lot of fun to make so I wanted to try and do something similar, but also different. I knew 8 would be the perfect number to use as well since it’s an endless design, there’s no beginning or end, it just loops indefinitely.
The real trouble with this one was figuring out how many lights I should use. Originally there was 3, it worked great, but when they looped, and this is going to sound ridiculous but, I didn’t like how close two of the lights got to one another, the gap was far smaller than the distance between the other lights, and thus had to be corrected.
After trying for what felt like forever to get the lights to work as I wanted I had to take a step away from everything because I was too frustrated with it all. It was only after that did I notice the simple solution of changing the number of lights. It’s kind of crazy how frustration and pressure can blind you to some of the simplest solutions.
